Spring and Easter Scrapbooking

Monday March 24, 2008
Spring is here. I say that just to remind myself that it is true since outside my window there is 10 inches of snow. Here on About.com Scrapbooking we have many resources for spring and Easter scrapbooking. Everything from page sketches, to fonts, to poems and quotes related to spring can be found right at your fingertips. Here are a few that you will definitely want to check out:
  • Spring Poems and Quotes - A few well chosen words can be just the thing to finish off your Easter or spring related scrapbook page. Try some of these famous spring related quotes.
  • Spring Free Paper Piecing Patterns - Simple handmade embellishments are an inexpensive and very personalized way to dress up your scrapbook pages. These spring patterns are simple and can be customized to coordinate with the colors of your layout perfectly.
  • Free Easter Egg Font - This free font from PC Crafters is a fun way to add a special title to your Easter scrapbook pages. You can print the font in black and white and then color the eggs in yourself to make the title even more customized to your page colors.
  • Spring Page Sketch - Can you imagine a spring Easter page done in the colors brown, orange, and mint green? This one works and the sketch is perfect for any scrapbook page you might be working on this week.

For even more spring crafting ideas try these two projects from About.com Quilting:

Keep Quilting Supplies Organized - Do you lose track of your bobbins, spools of thread, straight pins and other small notions? It's tempting sometimes to just throw them into the closest handy spot, with every intention of organizing them later. All of these handy tools are small, but each one will help you keep your quilting supplies orderly, and without too much effort.
Stitch Some Springtime Tulips - Sewing these pretty tulip blocks will make you think it's already spring. If you get started now, you'll have plenty of time to make a scrappy tulip quilt or wallhanging to greet the new season.
