I am naming 2009 the year “About Me” which will be filled with things I like doing and I am going to stick to it. Scrapping is on the top of the list.

Thank you Rebecca for the wonderful tip on doing a 2 page spread each year. Your suggestion just made a daunting task do-able as I avoided it like the plague but now, I am already thinking….Birthday pics/holiday etc. and probably will need 2-2 page spreads as my immediately family includes 4 grandkids!
I enjoy all your ideas/free layouts etc. Keep up the interesting and good work!

I have established a 2nd Saturday or Sunday of each month as “Scrapbooking at Meg’s”… it’s proven to be the best motivator for us busy moms. I took over our gameroom and have a long table for my things, then set up a couple 6′ tables for my girlfriends to use… they brought over and keep their scrapbooking things at my house and we get down to business! We have managed to really get some pages/books behind us.

I set goal of 100 pages for last year figuring I could do at least two pages a week most weeks and skip holiday and vacation weeks. I finished 91 pages - the most I have ever done in a year, and I think it was because I set a goal and kept track of my progress. I got ahead of myself in the spring, so I didn’t feel any pressure during the summer while I was making memories instead of scrapping them. I never felt overwhelmed by my 2 page a week goal, but I used to feel paralyzed by my ever mounting unscrapped photos. This worked for me and I hope it works for others too. I hope to surpass 100 pages this year - and maybe only be 7 or 8 years behind in my scrapping!

Last year, I accomplished 56 layouts(89 pages). Hopefully I can improve on that and hit over 100 ‘pages’ this year. I do more 2 page layouts than anything else.

Probably close to 1000 again! :) That is my goal each year and I usually make it. Planning page kits helps so much!
