How to Make the Watercolor Tulips Page

Step-by-step instructions to help you create a beautiful Easter scrapbook page using downloadable clip art from Scrapbookscrapbook.com.

Difficulty Level: Moderate      Time Required: 1 hour

Here's How:
  1. Download easter2.exe from scrapbookscrapbook.com (cost=$3.00).
  2. Print on acid-free white cardstock paper two copies of the watercolor tulip page (page 2).
  3. Print two copies of the purple alphabet page.
  4. Print one copy of the pink printed butterfly page.
  5. Cut one side of the tulips off of one copy of the watercolor tulip page trimming around grass.
  6. Trim around the rest of the grass and the tulips left on the other side of the page.
  7. From the flowers that you removed in step 5, carefully cut out the pink whole tulip and the peach tulip with stems.
  8. Insert these flowers into the flowers remaining on the page to create a fuller and more dimensional bouquet.
  9. From the second copy of the tulip page, cut off as much grass as you will need to add to page one to create a continuous border of grass along the page bottom.
  10. Attach tulips and grass to your scrapbook page.
  11. Cut out the letters to spell the word EASTER from the two copies of the alphabet pages, trimming closely.
  12. Arrange the letters down the opposite side of the page from the tulips.
  13. Mount photos using the pink butterfly paper as background paper.
  14. Add your journaling, perhaps with a purple pen, and you are finished.
Tips:
  1. Remember that all clip art can be trimmed, cut apart, repositioned as needed. Don't feel locked in by the original page design.
  2. See picture found at the link below to help you understand positioning explained in the above steps.
  3. Use a laser printer if possible, otherwise see suggestions below about using clip art in scrapbooks.
