How to Make the Peter Cottontail Scrapbook Page

Instructions to help you create a fun Easter bunny from velveteen paper and surround him with Easter eggs, using the Creative Memories Cutting System (could easily be adapted for other circle/oval cutters).

Difficulty Level: Moderate      Time Required: 45 minutes

Here's How:
  1. Cut 3 ovals from tan velveteen paper using the red blade on the inside of the second largest CM oval template.
  2. Cut 2 of these ovals in half trimming one set of them to be a pair of ears, saving the other halves for feet.
  3. The third of the ovals you have cut becomes the head.
  4. Cut one oval from the same paper using the largest template and the red blade on the inside track, this becomes the body.
  5. Cut a small circle from pink velveteen for the tail.
  6. Cut as many eggs as needed from a variety of colored/printed papers using the red blade on the inside of the second smallest oval template.
  7. Decorate the eggs as desired and affix to scrapbook page.
  8. Using plenty of adhesive affix the bunny feet to the bottom edge of the page, feel free to overlap some of your eggs.
  9. Next, affix bunny body on top of and overlapping the feet.
  10. Turn the head oval on its side and affix the ears to the top of the head from behind.
  11. Affix the head/ ears combination to the top of the body overlapping slightly.
  12. Add tail.
  13. Print a cute title for your page on coordinating paper.
  14. Mount photos as desired.
  15. Remember your happy Easter for years to come!
Tips:
  1. Scrapbook adhesive can be purchased in sheets and makes a great stabilizing and affixing backing for the velvet paper if you can get it.
  2. Scatter your eggs along the bottom of the page randomly for a cute look.
  3. If you don't have the "right" colors of printed paper, you can have a lot of fun decorating solid colored paper eggs with your pens.
