California (January 29, 2002) - Creating Keepsakes magazine held its fourth
annual 2002 Readers' Choice Awards, "Scrapbook Super Bowl," last night in
conjunction with the 61st annual Hobby Industry Association (HIA) in Anaheim.
Creating Keepsakes' readers selected their favorite team players
who were recognized at a "super bowl" event attended by approximately 300
representatives from 50 companies. Defending champions included six companies
that have won titles in their categories each year since the inception of the
Readers' Choice Awards in 1999. They include Creative Memories for adhesives,
Canon for cameras, Eastman Kodak for film, EK Success for pens, Fiskars for
scissors, and Lasting Impressions for Paper for their embossing stencils. Also
honored were four strong contenders who have won their categories for the last
three years, including: Creative Memories for direct sales, Keeping Memories
Alive for mail order, 3L Corp. for photo corners, and Stampin' Up! for rubber
stamps. "We at Creating Keepsakes enjoy honoring the top players in the
industry for their creative and innovative products," said Lisa Bearson,
co-founder and founding editor. "Our readers are always on the lookout for
quality products and each year they are eager to put their favorite players on
the scoreboard." Creating Keepsakes' readers nominated 451 products representing
170 companies for the 39 product categories. The votes were electronically
