| Getting Started: Paper Tearing |
|
A Quick
and Easy Texture Technique for Scrapbooking |
Tearing paper is a simple and quick way to add some texture and interest to any scrapbook page. Although tearing paper is an easy technique a few pointers with make all the difference in how your layout turns out.
1) When tearing cardstock, hold the the larger piece in your "weak" hand. Tear towards your body with your dominant hand. Keep your hands close together on the paper to give yourself more control of the tear.

2) Cardstock with a white core will give you a white, fuzzy edge.

3) Solid colored cardstock will still give you a fuzzy edge but it will be a more subtle addition to the final page.
