Like the look of paper piecing but hate the time it takes? Let your paper do more of the work.

BACKGROUND: Attach a sheet of vellum over the background paper of a sun. This is a terrific way to soften a strong print paper. Here it causes the sun to "shimmer" through the vellum.

EMBELLISHMENT: Follow the waves in the corrugated blue paper to create water. Also create a curved background with the corrugated blue paper.

Tip: Use a plate as your template. Draw a pencil line on the flat side of corrugated paper and then cut out top of the pool. Use a Magic Matter or draw by hand an edge of water paper to mat the pool.

JOURNALING BLOCK: Use a lettering template and colored pencil or pen to create words. Color in the letters. Add a circle punch to create suns and a pen to create rays.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER: Mat journaling box. Silhouette crop your photos. Assemble page, sandwiching photos between pieces of corrugated "water" of the pool.

PRODUCTS: Corrugated paper is from unknown source, background paper by Paper Adventures, "vellum" is Parchlucent by Paper Adventures, circle punch by CARL, letter stencil by Daisy Doodle, and pens by Marvy and Fibracolor.
