4) Wedding Veil

A few flowers, a touch of tulle—and voila! A beautiful wedding veil, perfect for wedding pages or a wedding wishes card.

In Lisa’s Tool Box:

  • Paper Pizazz™: ivory from Plain Pastels

  • 4”x8” piece of ivory tulle

  • 1/2” wide flower punch from Fiskars

  • 5 silver seed beads

  • ivory thread and needle

Technique Note:

How to Sew a Running Stitch: Insert the needle into the fabric and bring it out again 1/16”-1 1/4” away from the starting point. Repeat, making the stitches as even as possible. To gather the fabric, hold the unknotted end of the thread and push the fabric along the thread until the desired width is gathered.

Fold the tulle in half to make a 4” square. Sew a running stitch along the folded edge and gather to 1 1/2” wide. Punch two ivory flowers and glue one on top of the together. Glue to one end of the gathered edge. Repeat for a total of 5 flowers. Glue a bead to the center of each flower.
