Fall
Into Scrapbooking
To many of you it may seem of little consequence that the NFL season starts this Sunday. However, it does mean one thing: Regardless of when the calendar says Fall officially begins, it will begin this weekend. So to celebrate that great season of playing in fallen leaves, crackling fires, and cozy sweaters, here's a quick and fun Fall border for your scrapbook.
To create this border, simply begin with a 1 1/2" wide strip of cream colored paper the length of your scrapbook page. Centered on top of this strip is a chocolate colored strip 1" wide. The letters for the word Fall can be printed out (click here) on the back of your favorite Fall print paper and then cut out. Place these letters rather haphazardly down the page. "Falling" all around the letters are maple leaf punches which have been punched from a variety of Fall colored papers. To finish off the border, use a fine-tip, black pen and draw little action marks (they look like quotation marks) on each side of the leaves. Add other embellishments if you desire. I added the three dots pattern randomly all over the darker paper. I also outlined the letters and dashed around the dark and light colored strips.
This border will make a great enhancement to any page you complete with pictures you take this Fall!
