Instructions:To begin, you will need your slotted tool and cardstock. If you are cutting your own strips, follow the directions for the layout using the width and length of the paper strip as instructed. Place the paper strip into the slotted end of the quilling tool making sure the edge of the paper is even with the tip. Hold the slotted quilling tool in your right hand and your fingers of your left hand over the paper. (If you're left handed, reverse the process.) Now, start turning the tool away from you or toward you, as your fingers of your left hand hold the paper at the tip of the quilling tool. Keep turning until all the paper is curled, then glue and shape as directed below. Try to make sure it is rounded as you turn, and not square, or the final result will end up not a perfect circle. Here are some sample instructions for shapes to get you started:
Autumn in New York*Supplies: Instructions: Take the Harvest Leaves® paper 3" x 8 ½" strip and place on left side of the brown 8 ½" x 11" cardstock, to start border. Glue in place, layer with the terra-cotta color and then the mustard. Place two of the 4 ¼"x 4 ¼" squares Harvest Leaves® to the right of the border ¼ of the way down, leaving room for the title. Layer the 4" x 4" forest green squares on the Harvest Leaves® paper. Take the ½"x ½" squares in orange, forest green and terra-cotta and glue them at an angle on the mustard strip border.Making the autumn leaves: Well, there you have it!
