Honor Your Graduate

Three Scrapbooking Projects for Graduation
by Michele Mazine from Boundless Memories

After lots of homework and a fair share of hard work, graduation time is finally here. Whether you are celebrating a kindergarten or college graduate, a meaningful gift will help to capture this moment for years to come. With some basic tips and a look at some creative examples you will be well on your way towards making a keepsake that celebrates this momentous event.

Any type of keepsake project can benefit from good planning. Planning for a graduation includes a couple of basic steps.

  • It is very important to collect items from both the past and present. A work sample from the first day of school may be just as meaningful as the diploma itself.

  • You should also try to include others in the making of this keepsake. Interview the graduate and get insight or have a schoolteacher write a comment about the student for a layout.

  • Last but not least, be sure that your project represents the graduate and not you’re own style. Use color scheme and accents that truly symbolize the spirit of the graduate!

You can take a look below at 3 completely different projects that were made in honor of a graduate. Each contains a photo and step by step instructions. Click on the title or photo of each project to see it in greater detail with material list and instructions.

“The K files” A keepsake folder decorated with a mini file folder, label, personal information, and then filled with memories of the school year!

“Aspire Tribute” A mini 6x6 book kit that coordinates to make a tribute of your aspirations and dreams for the future graduate.

“GRADUATE” an acrostic poem layout that spotlights a graduation picture and characteristics of the graduate!
