The K Files - Scrapbook Project Honoring Your Little Graduate

Kindergarten Scrapbooking Project for Graduation
by Michele Mazine from Boundless Memories

The K files is a keepsake folder decorated with a mini file folder, label, personal information, and then filled with memories of the school year!

Materials:

  • Clear poly Envelope from an office supply store

  • Stickers

  • 8.5x11 label

  • Memorabilia

  • File folder

  • 8.5x11 cardstock sheet

  • a school photo

Instructions:

  1. Prepare - Gather the memorabilia and find items that you would like to place on the front of the poly envelope. Pick out stickers that coordinate with the items and work that you choose.

  2. Design - Use a word-processing program to type in the title. Leave a space between the words The..........files. This will be where the mini file folder is placed. Choose a landscape page setup so that it will print horizontally. The font used in the sample can be downloaded for free at www.nerfect.com

  3. Cut and Paste - Cut the file folder into a mini folder. Find a sticker or cutout to represent the grade level or person your documenting. Stick the label on the poly and envelope. Glue the file folder on between the title.

  4. Decorate - Use the memorabilia and stickers gathered to decorate this basic layout. Your layout should represent the graduate you wish to capture.

  5. Final Touches - Photocopy a work sample on to the red cardstock. Add the extra memorabilia behind the cardstock page. Place it in the envelope with the cardstock on top. Since the envelope is clear an areas not covered on the front will allow the cardstock design to be visible!
