Graduate Acrostic Poem Layout

GRADUATE is an acrostic poem layout that spotlights a graduation picture and characteristics of the graduate!

Materials:

• Cut Out Letters

• Black Cardstock

• Tassel

• Color Cardstock

• White Cardstock

• School Photo

Instructions:

1. Prepare - Make a list of characteristics or actions that are related to the graduate. You will have to find one to represent each letter in the word graduate.

2. Design - Cut the black paper to look like a graduation cap. On a white sheet of card stock write or print out the word graduate over and over again lightly.

3. Cut and Paste - Crop the photo and place it in the right hand corner. Glue on the cut out letters in a vertical line with equal space between each. Write or print out the coordinating characteristic next to each letter.

4. Decorate - Take the extra black paper and rip it down the length of the page.

5. Final Touches - Add the date and tassel to the small graduation cap and place it in the bottom left corner.
