"I need a get-away" Scrapbook Page Layout Contest

Sponsored by Get Crafty Studios

The phone is ringing, the dog is barking, one child needs help with algebra, another child just spilled a glass of milk on the kitchen floor,...remember the old Calgon commercials - "Calgon take me away!" This month on About Scrapbooking, we want to see your scrapbook pages that show why you need a "get-away." Have you been going through a stressful situation, do you have a lot of kids and no time for scrapbooking, or maybe you just have never had a chance to get away to scrapbook? This is your chance. Tell your story on a scrapbook page and you will have a chance to win a weekend away at Get Crafty Studios in West Virginia (USA).

The theme of your scrapbook page should be "Why I need a get-away." Beyond that, what you decide to scrapbook about on the page is up to you and your creativity. Send one layout to Rebecca as a scan or digital picture saved as a .jpg file via email to: scrapbooking.guide@about.com  Michelle and her staff at Get Crafty Studios will pick one of the entries to award a scrapbook retreat weekend for the winner and a guest. Please read the official rules below for more information. Travel to the retreat will be the responsibility of the winner.

Can't travel to West Virginia? But still want to get-away? Rebecca will award a "virtual trip to a scrapbook trade show" to an additional lucky winner. One name will be drawn from all eligible entries and that scrapbooker will receive a box of supplies sponsored by companies that Rebecca chose as top picks from this year's Craft and Hobby Trade show. The package will include papers from The Paper Loft, rub-on's from Karen Foster Design, and a 12x12 Complements album (Rebecca's pick as top new album of the show)! So even if you can't make it to a get-away weekend, you can pretend you are getting away with a goodie box of brand new scrapbook supplies.

Scrapbook pages will all be displayed here on About Scrapbooking in a special "I need a get-away" page gallery. Layouts must be to Rebecca's email inbox by midnight on Sunday, March 26, 2006.
