Mini Book for Halloween Scrapbooking

Single Sheet of Paper Mini Scrapbook
Article from Design Originals

Mini Scrapbooks make great weekend projects and are perfect gifts. You can even make them with your children as a family project. The only paper needed for this mini book is one sheet of 12"x12" scrapbook paper!

Supplies Needed:

1 sheet 12"x12" Halloween Tiles paper from Design Originals
12" piece of black ribbon or ric-rac sewing trim
Halloween stickers from Design Originals

Tools Needed:

12" Trimmer
Craft Knife
Cutting mat or piece of chipboard
Photo Tape or Tape Runner

The Steps:

1) Cut a 12x12 sheet of scrapbook paper into 4 strips that are each 3" wide.

2) Fold each strip in half. Open. And, then fold each end towards the center and crease.

3) To create pockets in the pages, insert a small cutting pad or a piece of chipboard between the folded layers and cut around a pre-printed design with a craft knife.

4) Add photo tape to only the edges of the folded papers when adhering them down, so that the pockets you have trimmed out will still open.

5) Small tags, matted photos, or journaling boxes can be slipped into the pockets.

6) Stack the folded pages to create the book.

7) Bind the book by running a piece of ribbon or ric-rac down the center.

8) Bring the ribbon around to the front of the book and tie a knot to hold the pages in place.

9) Embellish the book as desired with stickers, more ribbon, bottle caps, and of course photos and journaling.

Use other styles of paper to make mini books that go with any theme. This Christmas Tiles paper from Design Originals would make a fabulous gift book or elegant gift tags.
