Mini Book Tips:
• Use words, phrases or quotes
that are preprinted on vellum or stickers as accents and journaling solutions.
• Keep pages simple for a look that will stand the test of time.
• Use a border design throughout to give consistency to your project.
• Try a monochromatic color scheme with various cardstock and pattern paper.
• Create backgrounds using a stamped design on each page.
• Use stickers and faux three-dimensional accents to keep your album from
becoming too bulky.
• Use only 1-2 words per page with 1 photo to keep it simple.
• Try action words (verbs) and descriptive words (adjectives) to get your
message across.
• Make your cover the most elaborate page, and let that be the place where you
use your bulky embellishments.
• Small scale scrapbooks means using small scale supplies - try small punches,
stickers, and die cuts for smaller details.
• Consider including a page about you and why you decided to make the gift for
the person or occasion.
• Collect sayings, quotes and poems from cards, magazines, calendars and books
to use when creating gift scrapbooks.
