Folding and Cutting Vellum Snowflakes

1. Start with a vellum square in one of the sizes listed in the materials above.
   
2. Fold the vellum in half, creasing firmly.
   
3. Pinch the folded rectangle in the center to find the middle, but do not fold it in half.
   
4. Fold each side of the rectangle down at an approximate 60 degree angle using the pinched spot as your center point. See diagram below.
   
5. Round off end of shape with scissors.
   
6. Cut decorative slits and shapes into the rounded off cone to create the lacey snowflake.
   
7. Open and press flat to reveal your snowflake.
