PHOTO IDEA: Do you have a tea set? Or a child's tea set from your youth? Why not take out your tea set and take a photo?

JOURNALING IDEA: Does anyone in your family have a pet theory about what thunder really is? One child I know once said, "God's tummy is rumbling."

PHOTO and PAGE IDEA: Take a photo of where you live in the rain. How do you know if it's raining? Can you hear it hitting a certain part of your home?

PAGE: High Tea at Brown's

Stopping for a Proper Cuppa at Brown’s Hotel
Brown’s Hotel ranks among the top three places in London for High Tea. Although my son and husband rolled their eyes, I insisted that we visit Brown’s for a “cuppa.” My motive? I wanted to see a certain desk. In his book On Writing, Steven King said he wrote the book Misery sitting at a desk in Brown’s where Rudyard Kipling had written and died of a stroke. But when I asked about the desk, the waiter explained the beautiful piece had been moved. Seeing my disappointment, he brought me a two-page history of Brown’s. My point? Share your interest. People will give you fascinating tidbits.
