Kit Comments from Shannon: "The kit is of great quality. I like the weight of the paper and the smoothness of it. I was able to reposition the stickers with out tearing the paper. The print is very realistic, meaning it looks as if it is 3 dimensional. I will definitely try other SEI papers in the future."
Note from Rebecca: Shannon created a fabulous mini-book on her page by cutting paper into circles (to match her layout theme) and binding the circles together with eyelets and jute. You can read the touching journaling below:

Shannon's Journaling from the mini-book: "To my Friends: All of my
life I had wanted a true friend. Someone, who would accept me for who I am.
Someone to laugh with, cry with and play with. I have been fortunate enough to
have these friends today.
It takes a huge amount of effort and struggles to keep friends. I always tell my
children, If you want a friend, you have to be a friend.
When I was in school, my hearing impairment set me apart from the crowd. I
watched with heartache as groups of girls shared laughter and gossip during
lunch. I was grateful for my one friend, Jazel, who stood up for me if I was
being teased and never treated me like a deaf person. She and I were friends
forever. She died tragically in a car accident the spring of 96. I am so lucky
she was a part of my life for 12 years. When she was gone, I thought Id never
have another true friend again.
Then I met Christine. Oh, she was a burst of live energy, we were neighbors and
acquaintances because our kids were in the same class She called me one day and
asked me to walk with her. We were fast friends and spent lots of time together.
I learned so much from her. My confidence soared. She was a major part of my
daily routine. My life has never been the same. I only knew her for five years.
5 short, quick, years. Until, she died in a plane crash. I cant thank God
enough for allowing our lives to cross paths.
I met Jody in the fall of 88, while working at an insurance company. She was
assigned to train me. She had just moved to Sacramento from L.A.. We started to
hang out a little outside of work and then a lot, before we knew it we were
renting a duplex together with our boyfriends (now our husbands). Living
together was hard and tested the strength of our friendship. We survived many
ups and downs, weddings, near break-ups, misunderstandings, births, deaths, and
our differences. Jody and John have become our family. They are aunt & uncle
to my children. We have spent almost every holiday and birthday together for the
past 15 years. Our friendships strength is still tested every now and then, we
have endured some very difficult things, but we accept each other as family. I
can honestly say our friendship is stronger because of our experiences.
I met Tracy in the fall of 98. She and her husband, Ray came to our house
warming party. Ray worked for George but I recognized Tracy as soon as I opened
the door. She worked at a mailbox store that I frequented, so I was surprised to
see her at my house! I loved her instantly. She was like finding the sister I
never had. We have so much in common, we couldnt find enough time in our days
to do all the things we would and want to do together. To this day, Ray and now
Tracy still work for George. It has been so wonderful being friends with them.
We are Family and cant think any differently of them.
I cant write this with out mentioning the friends I love but never met. (YET)
My on-line friends. These women have touched my life and shown me undying
support for the past 3 years I have been a part of the About.com forum. Very
specifically Roni, my soul sister, she has been such a wonderful inspiration to
me. I cant wait until the day we meet. Melissa, Jami, Jenna, oh,goodness! I
could go on and on there are so many more of you! I am very blessed to have such
a wide circle of people to call my friends. To them I say, thank you
(((((HUGS)))))
My very best friend of all is George. My husband. He has been my rock for 17
years. I would not be the person I am today without him. Every happy minute and
dark second has defined our relationship to what it is, the most important thing
in the world to me. (right there with my kids, but thats another scrapbook
page.) Im so happy I have that group of friends I watched in school. I cherish
our friendship and would do anything for them. Always.
Thank you all, for being my friend."
