Simple Scrapbooks: Quotes for Every Occasion

by Molly Newman
For Simple Scrapbooks Magazine

These scenic photos have a calm beauty all their own, but their loveliness is enhanced when we realize what nature means to a wondering, exploring child. Kim used contemplative photos of her daughter and this simple quote to draw the connection between nature and humanity. She highlighted each word with soft colors of chalk to create a dynamic focal point.

If the words are almost perfect—but not quite—don’t despair! It’s easy to cut apart a quote sticker and rearrange the words to create a phrase that’s tailored to your needs (see sticker below). Lori cut the word “You” from cardstock and used it to change the focus of the quote. Bright, cheerful accents placed behind sticker phrases and individual words add a playful touch.

Turn a pair of printed die cuts into a clever card with just a few easy additions. Lori clipped the words “into a gift!” from the quote sticker and attached them to a gift tag. She also trimmed her package with real ribbon and highlighted the “o” letters in the quote with coordinating-color eyelets.
