I used the picture of the balloon as the guide from which I built my pattern. The first thing I did was scan the picture into my computer. The picture below left is cropped from a copy of the actual photograph of the balloon in the air. The one on the right is the print out of the picture after I scanned it into my computer and enlarged it. When you are happy with your scanned image, print it out and continue to the next step - tracing the pattern.
