Year in review scrapbook pages are layouts that include photos and journaling about the highlights of the last year. Usually these pages are double page spreads since they require more photos and journaling to tell the whole story. This double page scrapbook page sketch has room as shown for thirteen photos. However, this is a very flexible scrapbook page sketch. You could easily combine some of the smaller photos to be able to include a larger picture in the same space. You could also break up some of the larger photos in the sketch so that you could include even more picture on this layout.

Year in Review pages are perfect if you have very little time to scrapbook throughout the year. You can simply create two page per year and have a fabulous family scrapbook that everyone will love flipping through as they remember the highlights of years gone by. If you have time to do a lot of scrapbooking. A Year in Review page can serve as an index for your family scrapbook of that year. You could even number the pages in your finished book and include those page numbers on the Year in Review page so that readers could easily flip elsewhere in the scrapbook to see more of the event.

I loved using this sketch. Click here to see Rebecca's Family Tree Year in Review page and read my tips for creating and assembling this layout.

This family tree themed year in review page could also serve as a true family tree to show how your family has grown over the year. Fill all of the photo spots on the layout with pictures of family members that were taken that year and now you have a record of how everyone looked in a certain year in your scrapbook.

The free simple paper piecing patterns for the bird, branches, and tree trunk are all included in the next page of this article.
