Tip 5: Create Balance with Equal-Sized Photos Around a Larger Focal Point Photo

LeNae created this perfectly balanced page to showcase spring memories. With a portrait photo of two children as the nucleus, LeNae cropped two additional photos of the children to an equal horizontal size and a photo of each of their parents to equal vertical sizes. She placed the photos of the children just above and below the center image, then added the photos of the parents on either side, almost as if they were embracing the children. LeNae used empty space in the top left corner of her nucleus photo to add embellishments and balance the layout by journaling in the bottom right of the border.
