After my 6 year old twins learned how to make similar snowman earrings at a free AC Moore demo, they wanted to make more! We went shopping and they chose the beads and sequins that they liked then got to work making over 100 of these adorable little snowmen! (Each requires 1 larde round sequin and a matching smaller one for the hat brim, one large and one small faux-pearl bead, one coordinating bead for the tophat, and one headpin that you use pliers to twist the top into a loop.)
After all the necklaces were made by the girls and their 8 year old brother (I only twisted the wire and knotted the cords), we had to make the cards to present them on! Each child chose one snowflake stamp and one ink pad and got to work covering strips of paper, inside and out... I simply inked the edges with the Stonewashed Ink Pad and did the scoring/cutting/printing... the kids did all the rest!
Now we have one pink necklace for every girl and one green for every boy in each of their classrooms & scout groups, plus all their teachers, aunts, grandmothers, and female cousins!
