Tip 1 - Create A Blocked Look

Hot Off the Press
Create a Blocked Look:

Sometimes one photo is just better than the rest. On this bright and fun page, Laura showcased a 5 inch x 7 inch close-up at the top of the layout, then supported the photo with two smaller photos. She cropped a photo of Jake in the water to elongate it and placed it below the larger image, then added a cropped close-up to the right. Rectangular journaling to the right of the large photo completes the layout and creates a modular design that helps the eye flow around the page. The orange photo mats also add a sharp contrast to the blue of the swimming pool photos, really bringing the page to life.
