Tip 3 - Overlap Photos

Hot Off the Press
Overlap Photos:

There is often extra space in the way of scenery or background in photos. This space is the perfect place to overlap additional photos. On this layout, Laura wanted to show the true beauty of Saddle Mountain as well as the accomplishment made by her husband and son of climbing to the top. Laura placed a 4 inch x 6 inch photo at the bottom of the page and a 3 inch x 6 inch photo just above it. A second 4 inch x 6 inch image overlaps the top left of the 3 inch x 6 inch photo and is attached with foam tape to keep it from disappearing into the other photograph. Laura also cropped two rectangular photos to an equal size, and used them to overlap the left side of the bottom 4 inch x 6 inch photo. The layout of the photos helps to tell the story of the adventure.
