Making a Template

There are many ways to make a template for your container of choice. The easiest I’ve found is tracing the container lid or bottom and cutting just inside the lines.
Decorating the Container

Once you have your photos, paper, embellishments and container chosen, the fun begins! If you are going to decorate your container with paint, it would be a good idea to sand it lightly and clean it free from dust and possible price sticker residue. I use a sanding block specifically made for “between coats.” The proper paint is important as well. If your container is made of plastic you will need a paint made for it. I personally use Krylon’s Fusion For Plastic spray paint. Have fun exploring the many ways to decorate the containers. Decoupaging, stamping, rub-on’s, stickers, and so much more! Dig through your stash of embellishments and leftovers from craft projects. You’re bound to find something perfect for your brag book! My sample book has a patriotic theme, so step one was to paint a Sizzix die container red, white, and blue. Then, I rubber stamped an image on to the dry paint to complete the outside of my book.
