Step by Step:
The remaining steps can be found in the next gallery photo page.
- Cut a piece of chipboard or matboard to create a 4 1/2 inch square. And, cut a piece of patterned cardstock or paper to create a 5 1/2 inch square. Adhere the chipboard to the center of the BACK of the patterned paper. Fold edges around the chipboard and press to score. Black lines are drawn around the chipboard in the photo so you can see the folds.
- Cut off each corner at an angle as shown just beyond the place where the black lines cross at each corner. See sample above. With corners trimmed fold edges over and adhere in place on the back of the chipboard.
- To create the inside pages, cut two strips of white cardstock that are 4 inches wide by 11 inches long (these can be cut from an 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch piece of cardstock. Score each strip every 4 inches. Black lines have again been added to the sample to highlight the scored lines. You can get a scoring replacement blade for your Fiskars trimmer to make scoring quick and easy.
- Fold each strip back and forth on each scored line. Attach the two strips together with photo tape, overlapping just enough to keep the center square 4 inches by 4 inches (see photo).
