Peeling Backing Paper

This is one of the most exciting steps in the transfer process. You use the foam brush to apply cool water to the back of the transfer paper, until the paper is transparent. Once the paper is all wet you will be able to start peeling off the paper layer revealing the transferred image on the tile. Having seen tradition transfers made with digital copies on plain paper, I was expecting it to be difficult to peel off the backing paper. I was very surprised that once I started peeling, the paper almost fell off of the tile. It took literally seconds to remove all of the backing paper and reveal the image. Once again, you need to allow this step to dry, this time for about 30 minutes.
