halloween layout ideas
- I am an avid scrapper but i have to admit i love making halloween layouts. Sepia photos look fab in halloween pages as they have a spooky look about them so have a play with the sepia setting on you camera. Another tip i have learned is to take my children outside as we have a street lamp outside our house, stand the subject in thr glow of the street lamp and take the photo without flash. I tried this last year and my photos had a great spooky orange glow.

Smile and say, "Halloweeeeeeen!"
- I have some awful Halloween photos. Either too blurry, too dark, too much flash, & of course no one wanted to hang around & wait for me to get it right when there was free candy for the taking! So here's a few tips I've learned: Take photos before they leave. Use different angles: lower than your child, shooting up at them or bend down to their level. Their costume close-ups will fill the screen & you get an "eerier" effect. Use props: a bale of hay makes a great seat; & when surrounded with carved pumpkins, paper bats & ghosts makes a great day or night shot. The old flashlight under the chin makes a spooky shot too & no flash needed! The candy shot - dump the candy on the kitchen table & have your child lean into the pile of sweets. Makes a great pic! Use b&w or spepia & colorize parts red or purple for goulish affects. Photocopy candy wrappers & use in scrapbooks. And lastly, there's never a better day to use those red eye pics than Halloween! Happy Haunting!
